The purpose of the anthro-tech assessment is to determine the technology philosophy and culture of the school where I've been placed for student teaching. Moanalua Middle School received a technology grant that enabled them to purchase 30 iMac computers, 40 MacBook Pros, and an iPad for each faculty member. The technology culture in this school is strong and the responsible use of technology is encouraged. An example of this is the required course, 21st Century Technology, which helps students demonstrate their creativity and innovative side through the use of productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GarageBand, and iMovie. The main focus of this class is to develop an awareness and appreciation of the safe and responsible use of technology in the 21st century.
