Discovery education is a great site to get awesome ideas for lesson planning and activities. I especially like that it is grade level as well as subject organized so you can find age appropriate materials quickly and easily. I especially like the puzzle maker page, which allows you to customize a variety of different word puzzles to your subject area. These are great activities to have on hand for student who finish early or to fill extra unexpected time.
I love this site. It's filled with games, photos, videos, and puzzle that are sure to interest students. It's a great source for lesson ideas and is also a great site for the students to explore on their own. There's something here for everyone.
This is a great site to stay current on scientific news articles. It's also a great site to have the students browse during down time or ask them to pick an article to share with the class. I think it's important to incorporate current events into teaching and this is a great way to stay subject based and encourage student to read more challenging materials.

This is a great site for finding ideas for classroom worksheets. You can use theirs or get ideas to create your own. It's useful to have a template to follow when creating your own homework.
This website provides a multitude of animated clips and videos of science concepts. Interactive simulations help students grasp complex scientific ideas and can be easily placed in a PowerPoint or other media.
I love this site and use it often. It is similar to eduMedia for it has interactive simulations but also a story line and characters the students become familiar with and can identify with. You have to subscribe to this site but I feel like it is totally work it.
I do a lot of group work in my classroom and I find it imperative to provide timelines for the students. This is a fun way to show the students how much time they have for each activity to keep them focused and motivated. This is super useful and I'd suggest using it in any classroom.
Edmodo is great because the format is similar to Facebook, which most students use and like. This site allows users to post information, assignments, comments, and ideas that students can access anywhere via the Internet. It is a classroom appropriate form of social media that make assignments and grading a snap. In addition, it allows student access to ask questions to me or other students and catch up on missed assignments after an absence with ease.
A lot of the videos I use in my classroom have been found on YouTube. It is a great source that I use almost daily.
